Emigrated to Toronto about 1903 Returned to England about 1904. In 1905 returned to Canada, settling first in London, Ontario. William Sr. worked in a stove factory while Edith took in laundry to help make ends meet. The family lived here until about 1912 when they all moved (except son William who stayed in London) to the city of Hamilton, Ontario.
